Kaz was never something to be handled, something for Jesper to be afraid of. No, he was more afraid of the walls getting thicker, of being pushed out, of losing someone that meant something to him. He was afraid of pushing too much, too far, and finding the doors and windows shuttered for it.

Maybe this had been a bad idea. To come here, to hash whatever this all was out. But then, wasn't that the point? That they had things to talk about that weren't going to be easy?
