Thought of me? Late at night? What was I wearing?

Things had seemed for their part, relatively quiet. Too quiet--he knows there are people missing. Whether that is due to the Veiled Order and whatever threat they still presented, or because of that odd chill that had passed through a few nights ago (or both!), Jesper wasn't too sure. Quiet or no, the disappearances have Jesper on edge.
Which means he's trying to keep busy. More recently, that's found him in the kitchens, trying to find something that answers the hunger he's been having lately. Whatever he's found today though has him frowning in what can only be called disgust, barely a bite into it.
"Does this taste off to you?"
It's further into the week when Jesper realizes just what this hunger is, what truly seems to be striking as appetizing. It's not a hunger he wants--and he worries where else it might lead when he starts catching sight of some others that are fairing worse, that are beginning to decay.
So he makes a choice, a terrible choice. In the span of the day, he finds himself at Wylan's door and then Kaz's. He knocks instead of waltzing in with his normal air of nonchalance. He looks tired, dark shadows under his eyes, his gaze starting to look a bit dazed.
"We need to talk."
Because that's never ominous when Jesper looks as serious as he does.
He's ignored it as long as he could, the need to feast upon flesh becoming too much. Jesper's skin is ashen, eyes sunken and--is that blood around his mouth?
Those that run into him at this point have two choices: fight or herd. Running will only make them a target to chase, and Jesper is, at this point, all too ready to go after them. And if he catches you? Well...he is very hungry.

All Fun and Games (Shooting Range)
As much as Jesper loved games of chance, and as much as they called to him with all their uncertainly and excitement, there was one that sang a song he couldn't deny. It was the ring of bullets hitting a target, the scent of gunpowder, and the whispers of flying metal.
So here he was, elbowing his way into the line-up and taking up one of their guns. It was nothing like the pistols at his hip--they were cheap, light. The bullets were bbs at best, little pebbles of metal but enough for him to feel them and knew what path they could and would take once they flew.
He elbows the person next to him and flashes a cocky grin. "Bet you I can make the shot with my eyes closed."
And he does just that. Because he can, because he wants to show off. You can't blame him.
All Fun and Games (Horror House--Closed to 1 slot)
There's a hesitation, seeing the signs and being ushered to the door. There's a promise of wiping one note off his ledger--one strike against him gone. Jesper breathes deep and looks into the dark, foreboding entrance. There's no knowing what to expect once he's in.
But that's not quite the truth either. He knows what his sins are, what mistakes and personal failings are both on that list and not. And that's what's intimidating. What is he going to see, what are they going to make him face? And was one sin worth that?
"You going in?" He asks someone--anyone--next to him, face betraying nothing. It's easy to hide behind a smile and casual demeanor.
All Fun and Games (Tunnel of Love)
This? This was more Jesper's speed. Not that he was afraid of the House of Horrors, but it does leave him a bit shaken. Here he at least stands a chance of some fun. Or the likelihood of adding another sin right back onto his list.
Like we said. Fun.
He's not shy about the idea of the ride either, tossing a look your way--or yours. He's an equal opportunist, so he might take a moment to consider all options before approaching with a sly grin. "Do you need some company?"
Till Someone Gets Hurt (Hybrids I)
It's in the second week that Jesper starts to see this Carnival as a real problem. And it's not because he's out of coins (that just puts him in a foul mood). It's definitely in line with the fact that there's word of people missing--and now there's some new tent and event going on?
Jesper doesn't buy it as being a coincidence. This is only proven when he starts making his way through this new horror show. "All the Saints and your aunt Eva."
Jesper's trying to look calm, but his disgust is harder to hide behind a mask of indifference as he takes in the displays. "Someone should do something..."
