[She felt some sort of way about the way she'd reacted to what she'd seen in the horror house with him. She had perfectly legitimate reasons for feeling the way she did, when she was presented with what looked very much like some sort of witchcraft, but it didn't make it okay to hurt that kind of stuff at a kid.

She'd done it enough to her younger sister through the years, she's supposed to be becoming a better person.]

[Kaz gave her a few names of people who were impacted by their little adventure on the island. Given how traumatic things were, she gives things a little space before she reaches out herself. But follow up questions happen as she sorts things together, so she leaves Jesper a brief message.]

Hi, Jesper. My name is Waverly Earp. I was on the boat to the island last month? Kaz gave me your name as having been part of the ritual in the volcano, and I had a couple of follow up questions, if you have some time? Totally okay if you don't but if you're up for it, feel free to come by and have a drink at Hella Shorty's and we can talk.

The session with Noah was about as hard as Kaz anticipated it to be– too much death in this hotel, and on his hands, recently. Made it harder to keep all the worst reactions at bay. Kaz took the time he needed through late morning and the earlier parts of the afternoon to recover from it as much as is possible.

Still. Skirting around the issue is hardly his style, so he texts Jesper:

[ The situation wasn’t an easy one. In fact, it was more complicated than he realized until this morning.

So he made pancakes to make up for it. Or attempt to. With a container filled with fresh pancakes, still steaming and covered in butter, he makes his way to Jesper and Wylans suite and knocks.

Panic starts to bubble but he just holds up the container in offering. ]

[He hasn't left his suite or spoken to anyone for three days. Any attempts to message him or come by have been met with absolute silence and locked doors. It's late, but he doesn't care. Either Jesper will be awake and see it or he'll find it in the morning. Everything is numb, but not in the way that he isn't feeling anything, more that there's too much and his brain and body have just stopped being able to process it.]

She's gone.
